Responsibilities
- Support patient evaluations and procedures during pre-operative and post-operative visits.
- Instruct patients on pre- and post-surgical care, recovery protocols, and clinic-specific guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report any issues to a Registered Nurse or supervising physician.
- Ensure all clinical records are accurately maintained and patient privacy is upheld in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow established safety and sterilization practices to maintain a secure clinic environment.
- Prepare operating room setups, position patients appropriately, and organize surgical instruments.
- Document intraoperative details accurately, including time-out verification and surgical notes.
- Adhere to laser safety protocols, proper drug labeling, and safe handling of medical equipment.
- Assist in post-procedure cleanup, apply dressings, and support patient discharge procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment effectively.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and recordkeeping.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and maintain up-to-date certifications.
- Support clinic operations including photo documentation uploads, scheduling, and general administrative duties.
- Comply with OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality standards through consistent policy enforcement.
