Responsibilities
- Support pre-operative and post-operative visits as well as surgical processes.
- Inform patients about pre- and post-surgical care, recovery protocols, and clinic guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report urgent issues to a Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Ensure proper clinical recordkeeping and uphold patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
- Follow clinic safety standards and sterilization practices.
- Prepare operating room setups, position patients, and organize surgical instruments.
- Record accurate intraoperative details, including Time Out verification and surgical notes.
- Assist with laser safety protocols, medication labeling, and equipment management.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, wound dressing, and patient discharge procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and documentation.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and maintain all necessary certifications.
- Support photography uploads, appointment coordination, and other clinic support tasks.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build patient trust, and apply sound clinical decision-making.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality assurance standards.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Stay up to date with organizational policies, procedures, and safety documentation.
