Responsibilities
- Support patients during pre-operative and post-operative visits and assist in surgical processes.
- Inform patients about pre- and post-surgery care, recovery plans, and clinic-specific procedures.
- Observe patient reactions and report urgent issues to a Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Keep accurate medical records and ensure patient privacy in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow clinic safety guidelines and maintain proper sterilization techniques.
- Prepare the operating room, position patients correctly, and set up surgical instruments.
- Record intraoperative details accurately, including time-out verification and surgical notes.
- Adhere to laser safety practices, label medications properly, and handle medical equipment safely.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, apply dressings, and guide patients through discharge.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and recordkeeping.
- Attend scheduled team meetings, complete required training, and maintain up-to-date certifications.
