Responsibilities
- Support pre-operative and post-operative patient visits and surgical processes.
- Inform patients about pre- and post-surgical care, recovery protocols, and clinic guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report urgent issues to a registered nurse or physician.
- Ensure proper clinical recordkeeping and adherence to patient privacy regulations under HIPAA.
- Follow established safety practices and instrument sterilization procedures in the clinic.
- Prepare operating room setups, position patients appropriately, and ready surgical instruments.
- Record accurate intraoperative details, including Time Out verification and surgical documentation.
- Follow protocols for laser safety, medication labeling, and proper equipment use.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, wound dressing, and patient release procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment upkeep.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and QM for compliance tracking and records.
- Attend scheduled team meetings, training sessions, and maintain all required certifications.
- Support tasks like photograph uploads, appointment coordination, and routine clinic operations.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build positive patient relationships, and apply sound clinical decisions.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality standards in daily clinical practice.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Remain updated on organizational policies, procedural updates, and safety documentation.
