Responsibilities
- Support pre-surgical and post-surgical visits as well as assist during procedures.
- Inform patients about pre- and post-operative care, recovery processes, and clinic guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report any issues to a Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Keep patient records accurate and uphold confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow clinic safety and sterilization protocols to maintain a secure environment.
- Prepare operating room setups, position patients correctly, and organize surgical instruments.
- Document intraoperative details accurately, including Time Out verification and procedure notes.
- Adhere to laser safety practices, proper drug labeling, and safe equipment operation.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, wound dressing, and patient discharge instructions.
- Monitor inventory and manage medical supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance tracking.
- Attend regular staff meetings, complete required training, and maintain all necessary certifications.
- Support photography uploads, schedule appointments, and perform general clinic support tasks.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build positive patient relationships, and apply sound clinical decision-making.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Remain up to date with organizational policies, procedures, and safety documentation.
