Responsibilities
- Support pre-surgical and post-surgical visits and assist during operations.
- Instruct patients on care before and after surgery, including recovery processes and clinic guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report urgent issues to a registered nurse or physician.
- Ensure accurate medical records and uphold patient privacy in line with HIPAA standards.
- Follow clinic safety and sterilization practices to maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Set up operating rooms, position patients, and prepare surgical instruments.
- Record accurate intraoperative details such as time-out verification and surgical notes.
- Follow laser safety rules, label medications correctly, and manage medical equipment.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, wound dressing, and preparing patients for discharge.
- Monitor inventory of medical supplies and equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Use internal systems like Manuals Portal and QM for compliance tracking and documentation.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and maintain all necessary certifications.
- Support photography uploads, schedule appointments, and assist with general clinic operations.
