Responsibilities
- Provide support during pre-operative and post-operative visits as well as surgical processes.
- Inform patients about pre- and post-surgery care instructions, recovery protocols, and clinic-specific guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report any issues to a Registered Nurse or Physician promptly.
- Ensure proper maintenance of clinical records and adherence to patient privacy standards under HIPAA.
- Follow and promote safety practices and sterilization methods within the clinic.
- Set up operating rooms, position patients appropriately, and prepare necessary surgical instruments.
- Record accurate intraoperative details including time-out verification and procedural notes.
- Uphold laser safety standards, proper drug identification, and responsible equipment use.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, wound dressing, and finalizing patient discharge steps.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and QM for documentation and policy compliance.
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings, training sessions, and complete all mandatory certifications.
- Support clinic operations including photograph documentation, appointment coordination, and other general duties.
