Responsibilities
- Support pre-operative and post-operative patient visits and assist during surgical procedures.
- Provide patient education on pre- and post-surgical care, recovery protocols, and clinic guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report any concerns to the Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Ensure accurate clinical records are maintained while upholding patient privacy and HIPAA standards.
- Follow established safety and sterilization procedures within the clinical environment.
- Prepare the operating room, position patients appropriately, and ready surgical instruments.
- Document intraoperative details accurately, including Time Out verification and surgical notes.
- Adhere to laser safety practices, proper drug labeling, and safe equipment operation.
- Assist with post-procedure site care, dressing changes, and patient discharge procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment as needed.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and documentation.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and maintain all necessary certifications.
- Support photography documentation, schedule patient appointments, and perform general clinic tasks.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build positive patient relationships, and apply sound clinical judgment.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality standards in all clinical activities.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Remain updated on organizational policies, procedural updates, and safety documentation.
