Responsibilities
- Support pre-operative and post-operative patient visits and assist during surgical procedures.
- Inform patients about pre- and post-surgery care, recovery protocols, and clinic-specific guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report urgent issues to a registered nurse or physician.
- Ensure accurate clinical records are kept and maintain strict adherence to patient privacy laws, including HIPAA.
- Follow established safety and sterilization practices within the clinical environment.
- Prepare the operating room, position patients appropriately, and set up surgical instruments.
- Record intraoperative details accurately, including time-out verification and surgical documentation.
- Adhere to laser safety protocols, proper drug labeling, and safe handling of medical equipment.
- Provide post-procedure care, including wound dressing and preparing patients for discharge.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and recordkeeping.
- Attend scheduled team meetings, training sessions, and maintain all necessary certifications.
- Support administrative tasks including photo documentation uploads, appointment coordination, and general clinic operations.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build positive patient relationships, and apply sound clinical decision-making.
- Comply with OSHA regulations, AAAHC standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Stay informed on current policies, procedures, and safety guidelines issued by the organization.
