Responsibilities
- Support patient evaluations and procedures during pre-operative and post-operative visits.
- Instruct patients on pre- and post-surgery care, recovery processes, and established clinic guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report any issues to a Registered Nurse or supervising physician.
- Ensure proper recording of clinical data while safeguarding patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow clinic protocols for safety, sanitation, and instrument sterilization.
- Prepare operating room setups, position patients appropriately, and organize surgical instruments.
- Record accurate intraoperative details, including time-out verification and surgical documentation.
- Adhere to laser safety practices, proper drug identification, and correct use of medical equipment.
- Help with post-procedure cleanup, wound dressing, and patient discharge procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and recordkeeping.
- Attend scheduled team meetings, training sessions, and maintain current certifications.
- Support tasks like photograph uploads, appointment coordination, and routine clinic responsibilities.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build positive patient relationships, and apply sound clinical decision-making.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality standards in all clinical activities.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Stay informed on current policies, procedural updates, and safety documentation.
Other
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., work on feet, and manage high-paced clinical environments.
- Participate in clinic performance goals and KPIs.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and complete all required certifications.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, and existing responsibilities may be modified or removed as necessary to meet operational needs, within the scope of the individual’s role, licensure, and applicable regulatory standards.
