The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will provide psychotherapy, counselling, and support to individuals and groups dealing with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges at DOS/DOD facilities in Iraq. This role involves conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based therapy, managing crises, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to implement comprehensive treatment plans.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health disorders and emotional issues, using clinical interviews, observations, and standardized assessment tools.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to clients' needs, including individual, family, and group therapy.
- Respond to and manage acute crises, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Educate clients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Engage in community service and outreach to promote awareness of mental health issues and available services.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
