McGuireWoods is hiring a Legal AI Solutions Lead

Responsibilities

  • Identifies current workflows that can be improved with artificial intelligence and develops AI agents for direct use by legal and business teams.
  • Assesses potential AI applications and advises on initiatives that support organizational AI objectives, shaping the direction of the Innovation & AI unit.
  • Partners with practice group leaders to find opportunities for AI integration and creates customized AI tools for those areas.
  • Holds regular sessions with legal staff to define complex AI challenges and design targeted solutions.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with legal teams, vendors, and IT to evaluate AI performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide feedback aligned with strategic goals.
  • Foresees and resolves technical obstacles related to AI implementation in legal workflows.
  • Designs and implements plans to increase AI adoption by overcoming technical and usability barriers.
  • Promotes ongoing refinement of training methods based on real-world outcomes and feedback.
  • Evaluates emerging AI features, determines technical impact and system compatibility, and trains legal staff on effective usage.
  • Produces concise materials addressing recurring problems, advanced scenarios, and common questions about AI tools.
  • Manages the onboarding and offboarding of users during AI solution pilots involving legal and business professionals.
  • Submits evaluation-based recommendations to senior management after pilot programs conclude.
  • Ensures thorough documentation of use cases, including technical details and constraints, and reports key findings in team discussions.
  • Oversees testing activities within defined project timelines and milestones.
  • Tracks patterns and recurring issues across AI applications and raises critical insights during team reviews.
  • Investigates enterprise-grade, niche, and emerging AI technologies to evaluate features and fit for purpose.
  • Contributes practical insights to inform organization-wide AI strategy, highlighting risks, limitations, and opportunities.
  • Supports efforts to gather data in response to client questions about AI capabilities.
  • Compiles summaries of team accomplishments, incorporating both qualitative observations and quantitative metrics.
