Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative and operational support to legal staff and team members
- Oversee the initiation and conclusion of legal matters, including conflict screening, engagement documentation, and file organization
- Create, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and court submissions, including tables of contents and authorities
- Submit legal documents to state, federal, and appellate courts via electronic filing platforms such as File & ServeXpress
- Interact with court officials to clarify procedures, rules, and filing deadlines
- Handle incoming mail, legal notices, and distribution of documents
- Organize and update electronic and client-specific files using the document management system
- Track and maintain case calendars for hearings, depositions, mediations, and deadlines; distribute daily and weekly appearance summaries
- Record attorney time entries and support billing processes, client budget tracking, and responses to billing questions
- Generate expense reports and coordinate travel logistics
- Process vendor invoices, reimbursement requests, and check requisitions
- Respond to client billing inquiries and assist with budget oversight, billing appeals, and collection efforts
- Contribute to special projects and operational improvements as required
