Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and the learning team to identify training needs and establish clear learning objectives.
- Perform needs assessments and audience analyses to customize training solutions for organizational requirements.
- Design curricula, programs, and learning solutions that align with strategic goals.
- Develop instructional materials such as eLearning modules, animated videos, job aids, simulations, and assessments.
- Apply instructional design models and adult learning principles to create engaging, learner-focused content.
- Create detailed storyboards that outline visual, interactive, and narrative elements.
- Deliver training through digital platforms including Learning Management Systems and virtual learning environments.
- Manage learning content on the LMS to ensure accurate delivery and tracking of training initiatives.
- Design course assessments to measure learner progress and training effectiveness.
- Evaluate training impact using feedback, analytics, and performance metrics, and refine content based on insights.
- Maintain and update training materials to reflect evolving technologies and industry best practices.
- Work cross-functionally with trainers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of training initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Education, PGCE, Instructional Design, Learning Design, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Learning Designer or in a similar role.
- Experience working in an operational environment within a Learning Design capacity.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise.
- Skilled in using Learning Management Systems like Moodle, Talent LMS, eFront, or Docebo.
- Ability to use graphic design or multimedia tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, or Vyond.
- Strong communication and writing skills with a focus on plain language and instructional clarity.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to design for diverse learners.
Nice to Have
- Additional certifications in Instructional Design, video animation, editing, or eLearning Development are advantageous.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for content generation, and voiceover tools such as ElevenLabs, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry is advantageous.
