Instructure is hiring a Learning Consultant (Part Time Contractor)

About the Role

This role involves collaborating with clients to assess learning needs, develop training strategies, and guide implementation of learning technologies. The consultant will provide expert advice to ensure successful adoption and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to identify learning goals and objectives
  • Design customized learning strategies aligned with organizational needs
  • Guide clients through the implementation of digital learning platforms
  • Conduct needs assessments to inform instructional design decisions
  • Develop learning materials and course content tailored to audience needs
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops for diverse learner groups
  • Provide expert recommendations on best practices in learning technology
  • Support change management efforts during learning system rollouts
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Maintain clear documentation of project plans and deliverables
  • Troubleshoot instructional design challenges with practical solutions
  • Assist in onboarding clients to new learning tools and features
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather feedback and requirements
  • Align learning solutions with adult education principles
  • Promote user adoption through coaching and support
  • Stay current with trends in educational technology and pedagogy
  • Adapt learning approaches for various industries and sectors
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met in all learning materials
  • Coordinate with technical teams to resolve platform issues
  • Manage multiple client projects within established timelines
  • Communicate progress and risks to project stakeholders
  • Support evaluation of learning outcomes and ROI
  • Offer guidance on assessment and measurement strategies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service offerings
  • Uphold professional standards in all client interactions

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in instructional technology or education
  • Certification in instructional design or adult learning
  • Experience with cloud-based learning platforms
  • Background in higher education or corporate training
  • Familiarity with data-driven learning analytics
  • Experience mentoring other learning professionals
  • Knowledge of mobile learning strategies
  • Prior consulting or client-facing project work
  • Experience with learning experience platforms (LXPs)
  • Understanding of SCORM, xAPI, or other e-learning standards

Compensation

Hourly rate commensurate with experience
