Responsibilities
- Advance visual quality of effects using Unreal Engine 5 technologies such as Niagara, Lumen, and Nanite, while maintaining performance targets.
- Lead creative and technical innovation in real-time effects, cinematic sequences, and player-facing visual feedback.
- Collaborate with technical artists and engineers to enhance and expand UE5’s visual effects tooling and production pipeline for high-end game development.
- Establish and monitor performance budgets for visual effects across PC, console, and next-generation platforms.
- Lead and mentor a team of visual effects artists, offering guidance, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Design and standardize workflows and pipelines for UE5-based VFX production to support large-scale team collaboration.
- Work closely with design teams to ensure visual effects improve gameplay clarity, responsiveness, and immersion.
- Coordinate with cinematics, animation, and lighting departments to seamlessly integrate effects into narrative sequences.
- Serve as the primary technical authority on Unreal Engine VFX, providing cross-functional support and problem-solving expertise.
