Responsibilities
- Manage complete front-, middle-, and back-office implementations covering current-state evaluation, requirements collection, workflow creation, setup, data merging, test design and running, and training/documentation development
- Take charge of project scheduling and management, including crafting a detailed scope of work and activity plan to guarantee implementation success
- Direct project oversight, involving routine progress reviews, task and spending monitoring, and active engagement with clients and the delivery team
- Confirm that outputs and records match needs, specs, and accepted industry methods
- Establish, advocate, and instruct less experienced colleagues in implementation methodologies like SDLC, migration approach, and QA/testing norms
- Advance internal tools and offerings within an investment management and front-/middle-/back-office structure
- Supervise and take responsibility for transferring business and technical workflows to client teams after project conclusion
Requirements
- At least 10 years in implementations, project leadership, or production support roles, specializing in configuring tech like SimCorp One/Dimension, Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River IMS, Bloomberg AIM, FactSet, Finbourne, or Ridgeline
- Thorough knowledge of the Asset and/or Wealth Management process across various client types, investment offerings, and operational frameworks
- Ability to confidently guide high-level workshops, steering groups, and program discussions
- Skill in database administration, with background in cloud data systems such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
- Specialist or Project Management background in at least three Front-/Middle-/Back Office domains: Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Data Warehousing and Reporting, Alternative Investments, Performance & Attribution, Risk & Analytics, Compliance & Regulation, Transaction/Position/Cash Reconciliation, ABOR/IBOR
- Expert grasp of investment products and asset categories, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternatives, etc., with demonstrated skill in converting investment and business demands into operational and tech design specs
- High proficiency in SQL, Python, and additional data engineering programming languages
- Demonstrated architectural planning and execution experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
- Deep comprehension of enterprise data structure, modeling, data governance, and data quality control
- Experience directing small to mid-sized groups in an implementation or consulting setting
- Willingness to travel based on client needs
