Grab is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Lending team. In this role, you will design and build secure, versatile loan products and distributed systems that impact millions across Southeast Asia. You will design, develop, and maintain backend components, collaborate with product and business teams, and advocate for software engineering best practices.
What You'll Do
- Propose and lead technical improvements that inspire creativity, enhance system performance, and improve efficiency across the team.
- Contribute to technical and product review meetings, offering valuable insights and providing constructive feedback.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and reliable code, taking ownership of the entire development process.
- Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to manage scalable and reliable infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotation, addressing system issues and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operations.
- Lead projects, ensuring clear understanding among all partners, providing updates and resolutions, and taking responsibility for successful outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Lending domain experience.
- Experience building robust backend systems, including DBMS, caches, NoSQL, web, and app servers.
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
- Experience with web technologies and distributed systems to build scalable and reliable solutions.
- Experience in building consumer-facing products.
- Knowledge of developing OLTP systems and performance.
- Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
