Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of customer-facing UIs that interface with complex, high-throughput data streaming systems across Logs Intelligence, Log Compliance, and Log Ingestion
- Develop and maintain robust Java-based backend services and APIs that specifically feed the log management user experiences
- Actively participate in the team's on-call rotation, taking on reliability work to triage and support both our APIs and our highly distributed streaming services
- Leverage agentic AI technologies and modern AI coding assistants as daily tools to accelerate and enhance the software development lifecycle
- Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, architects, researchers, and other engineers to ship software incrementally with frequent customer feedback
- Contribute to code reviews, evangelize engineering standards, and mentor more junior team members
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, operating as a dedicated Frontend specialist but possessing a strong, practical background in backend development
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, including hooks, state management, and component-based architecture
- Hands-on experience leveraging agentic AI tools (e.g., AI coding assistants) to improve engineering efficiency
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to implement and build product features or solutions
- Proficiency in frontend unit testing and automated end-to-end testing using frameworks like Playwright
- Good communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders using Slack, Zoom, and documentation tools such as Confluence and Google Docs/Presentations
Nice to Have
- Some experience in Java, NodeJS or Python for backend API development, with the ability to navigate and understand complex backend systems to participate effectively in on-call triage and occasional backend contributions
- Familiarity with streaming platforms like Kafka and an understanding of highly distributed systems
- Experience working on products that handle extremely high data throughput
- Previous experience deeply involved in site reliability work or maintaining complex streaming pipelines
