Collaborate with a global team of engineers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and efficient content ingestion systems.
- Lead a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining content processing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using best practices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's growth and development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer or similar role.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with content ingestion and processing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr).
- Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with machine learning and natural language processing.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and serverless computing.
Other
- This position requires up to 10% travel for team collaboration, customer engagements, and company events.
- Attendance at the annual company offsite, typically held in Mexico, is expected.
