We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic product team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions that power our cutting-edge Retail IoT products. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a critical role in shaping the architecture and technical direction of our platform.
What You Will Be Doing
Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance, scalable software applications.
Architecture & Design: Drive architectural decisions and ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable systems.
Hands-on Development: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, including real-time image and video processing pipelines.
Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize software for low latency and high concurrency.
API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that support vision-based and IoT applications.
Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with privacy and security.
Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide a team of software engineers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineers, embedded developers, and UI/UX designers to deliver seamless solutions.
Qualifications we're looking for.
Experience:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on full stack or backend Java development.
Experience with scalable systems.
Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
Skills:
Proficiency in Java (Java core, Springboot).
Solid understanding of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and big data frameworks (Apache Kafka, Spark).
Abilities:
Good knowledge and experience with serverless technologies.
Able to architect and develop high quality Rest API’s.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Azure Cosmos DB, or MongoDB.
Knowledge of serverless technologies and Azure Stack services (Functions, IoT Hub, Service Bus).
Knowledge of various languages: Python, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS

Job Description: Key responsibilities:Prospect new or installed base clients on the independent retailer’s market and regional retail chains in order to sell VusionGroup solutions Maintain good relationship with local decision-makers and lobbying Work closely with the Sales Manager Germany in order to locally implement the sales strategies and referencing agreements negotiated with major independent national or international retailers Ensure a close follow-up of clients once the sale is completed in collaboration with internal departments (Sales administration, etc.) Update regularly the CRM tools with opportunities and manage his/her customer and prospect base Feedback information about competitors to his/her manager and the marketing department
Qualifications: Education:* A commercial education and experience in sales of technical digital product (SaaS, IOT Devices and services)
Experience:You are familiar with retail sector and have excellent relations skills ranging from store level to company C-level. Moreover, you have a strong ability to identify solution value for the individual customers and transforming this into additional sales.
