About the Role
The position involves overseeing on-site physical security operations, supervising security personnel, enforcing access control protocols, and ensuring compliance with security standards in a multi-tenant, mission-critical facility. The officer ensures proper staffing, incident response, and audit readiness while coordinating with operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily security operations and lead on-site security personnel
- Manage staff scheduling to ensure uninterrupted security coverage across all shifts
- Enforce procedures for employee and visitor access, including badging and escort requirements
- Administer the full lifecycle of access credentials, including issuance and deactivation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date access logs and security documentation
- Ensure consistent enforcement of site-specific security policies and post orders
- Respond to and manage security-related incidents on-site
- Ensure incidents are properly contained, escalated, and documented
- Support investigations and implement follow-up actions as needed
- Coordinate with operations teams during events impacting site security
- Report critical issues and risks to the Security Manager
- Maintain documentation that supports audit readiness
- Assist in internal, client, and regulatory audits
- Ensure security areas are clean, professional, and well-organized
- Participate in emergency response procedures and drills
- Act as the primary on-site leader for the security team
- Support customer access while maintaining a secure and professional environment
- Participate in site tours and client visits as required
- Model accountability and professionalism for security staff
- Monitor access control, CCTV, and alarm systems for malfunctions or issues
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to support secure site activities
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in physical security or a related field
- Proven experience in scheduling security staff and ensuring shift coverage in a 24x7 operational setting
- Solid knowledge of access control protocols and site-level security procedures
- Demonstrated experience in responding to security incidents and maintaining incident reports
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Effective communication and leadership capabilities
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity within a security team
- Background working in data centers or other mission-critical infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring technologies
- Experience supporting audits or operating within regulated compliance frameworks
