At Very LLC, we are looking for a Lead Mechatronics Engineer to join our hardware engineering practice. You will partner with our Hardware Practice Lead and other engineers to deliver sophisticated electro-mechanical systems, helping us rethink hardware development with modern software and data science methodologies.
What You'll Do
- Work a target of 38 hours per week on a Very client engagement.
- Serve as a Tech Lead overseeing the technical delivery on Very's client engagements.
- Oversee and/or design electronic and mechanical hardware for client projects.
- Contribute to Very's interview process as a technical interviewer.
- Support sales activities and the generation of statements of work.
- Collaborate with the Director of Hardware to improve standards and processes for hardware delivery.
What We're Looking For
- A BS or higher in a related engineering field such as Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Technical Stack
- MCAD and ECAD design tools
- Microprocessors and Microcontrollers
- IoT communications protocols
- Common sensors
- Hardware prototyping tools: 3D printers, soldering, oscilloscopes, electronic loads
- Low-level embedded firmware or embedded Linux
- Data collection techniques

You will work closely with the Hardware Practice Lead, other hardware engineers, and the Director of Hardware.
