What You'll Do
Take ownership of technical direction and execution for key modules within a large-scale application portfolio. Lead development efforts across all stages of the software lifecycle, from planning to deployment, within a structured Waterfall framework. Guide both local and offshore engineers, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and technical standards.
Define the boundaries and objectives of application enhancements and new features. Oversee the creation of technical and functional documentation, lead design sessions, and conduct thorough code and architecture reviews. Verify that unit and system testing meet established criteria and that implementations proceed according to schedule.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading development teams, including mentoring junior staff and coordinating distributed resources
- Strong background in Java and Spring, with specific hands-on work in Spring MVC
- Proven work within mainframe environments
- Direct experience with Oracle databases, EDI integrations, and enterprise application development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for cross-team collaboration
