ASM is hiring a Lead I, Category Management

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement worldwide sourcing strategies for Gas Delivery systems, modules, and components to achieve cost efficiency, faster market entry, reduced lead times, reliable supply, and alignment with technology plans.
  • Oversee commodity management for the Gas Delivery portfolio, including choosing, qualifying, developing, and evaluating supplier performance.
  • Establish and sustain strategic partnerships with suppliers to foster innovation, ensure quality, secure capacity, and generate long-term business value.
  • Design and carry out negotiation plans that yield ongoing cost reductions while preserving supplier competitiveness and operational excellence.
  • Negotiate detailed commercial contracts covering pricing, technology cooperation, product specifications, capacity commitments, quality benchmarks, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and regional procurement teams to match sourcing choices with business goals and future technology needs.
  • Track supplier performance using key indicators and lead continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and environmental, social, and governance targets.
  • Examine supplier markets, capabilities, and industry trends to inform strategic sourcing decisions and uncover new opportunities.
  • Facilitate technology roadmap discussions between suppliers and ASM stakeholders to ensure future product and technology requirements are met.
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation measures such as dual sourcing, supplier development, capacity planning, and business continuity plans.
