Responsibilities
- Define the vision and technical roadmap for a core design system in collaboration with engineering, shaping standards for interactions, components, and shared user experience principles
- Develop production-level code by directly contributing to component structures, design token systems, and the integration pipeline between design tools and code, including Figma variables and synchronization processes
- Collaborate with frontend developers to improve CSS structure, ensure semantic HTML usage, and meet WCAG standards, elevating accessibility and code quality across teams
- Guide designers in accessible design practices, responsive frameworks, and approaches that consider technical implementation
- Create automated tools and systems that enhance compliance, streamline operations, and support machine-driven workflows, with documentation and architecture built for AI integration
- Promote widespread adoption across product teams through contribution frameworks, governance processes, and clear documentation, using influence rather than authority
- Minimize system inconsistencies, monitor health and accessibility metrics, and manage version updates and deprecation notices for dependent teams
Compensation
For U.S.-based candidates, base salary is expected between $136,000 and $205,275 annually, with total on-target earnings (including bonus or commission) between $160,000 and $241,500. Actual offers depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. The role includes equity in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs) as part of a full benefits package.
