Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists across domains on initiatives such as research and automation to meet current business demands
- Convert client and product team needs into practical data solutions or products
- Generate and refine ideas for new product development within the innovation pipeline
- Frame business challenges as structured research problems amenable to scientific methods
- Own and direct the research and development roadmap, including prototyping strategy
- Investigate potential solutions, analyze internal data sources, design and run experiments, build prototypes, and assist engineering teams in scaling them
- Develop statistical and analytical models, including machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, as proof-of-concept tools tailored to client objectives
- Evaluate and enhance model performance using large datasets, adjusting parameters and iterating for improvement
- Record methodologies, experimental outcomes, and final approaches, and draft technical specifications for engineering handoff
- Produce, review, update, and share clear, maintainable code used in prototyping and data processing
