Ferrero Group is hiring a Lead Data Engineer & Data Architect

Ferrero Group is seeking a strategic Lead Data Engineer & Data Architect to support our global digital transformation. Reporting to the central Data & AI team, you will shape how consumer and shopper data is structured, governed, and leveraged across all countries and product categories. You will act as both a technical leader and architectural reference point for the Sales and Marketing domain.

What You'll Do

• Shape and execute the data architecture strategy for the Consumer and Shopper domain, supporting global initiatives to standardize data models, processes, and practices.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed team of Data Engineers, fostering technical consistency, governance compliance, and a culture of engagement and growth.
• Design, evolve, and document data models related to media, digital campaigns, eCommerce, and retailer data to enable seamless integration and efficient querying.
• Translate business needs into scalable data solutions by working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts, proactively identifying challenges and defining architectural responses.
• Oversee the design and implementation of data integration processes using APIs, data feeds, and batch processing to ensure reliable, timely, and high-quality data.
• Play a central role in ensuring adherence to master data principles and in continuously improving data governance standards, procedures, and controls.

What We're Looking For

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Data Architecture, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Solid experience in data engineering and data architecture roles within complex environments.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, governance, security, and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data solutions with a focus on operational excellence and automation.
• Proven experience with ETL and data engineering platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Analysis Services.
• Proven experience with SQL-based database design and data catalog technologies like Purview.
• Comfortable leading technical teams in multicultural, cross-functional, and remote settings.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data lake architectures, big data technologies, cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure), DevOps practices, AI platforms, and Python.
