London Hybrid Full-time

DeepL is hiring a Lead Customer Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

  • Highlight customer achievements by identifying stories from support tickets, sales nominations, deal wins, and win-loss interviews, selecting the most impactful ones for full development.
  • Produce high-profile stories, including blue-chip, video, and event-ready case studies, along with named examples and quantified proof points demonstrating DeepL's AI in real business settings.
  • Position customers on the world stage through press interviews, webinars, keynotes, and the Customer Advisory Board advocacy track, recommending speakers, aligning narratives in advance, and ensuring lasting impact beyond each event.
  • Provide real customer references for sales and customer success teams when deals require them, knowing which customers will speak, their topics, and how recently they were contacted, while sales enablement creates seller tools and you supply customers and proof.
  • Share stories while they are timely by managing the process from interview to live asset, including legal and brand engagement, and keeping customer permissions current to avoid delays.

Requirements

  • Extensive B2B marketing experience in customer marketing, content, communications, or advocacy, with a proven record of stories that engaged buyers and influenced deals.
  • Strong bias for action as a self-starter who overcomes obstacles without waiting for instructions.
  • Automates processes before escalating issues, instinctively building solutions for slow steps, and already integrating AI into workflows rather than planning to try it.
  • Storytelling ability with genuine curiosity about customer business problems and the instinct to find narratives within them.
  • Customer-facing polish, comfortable interacting with customers from initial discovery calls through launch.
  • Strategic judgment to align advocacy output with priorities and support stories that serve them.
  • Operational rigor in building production, approval, and permissions processes that are fast and efficient.

Benefits

  • Diverse and internationally distributed team as part of a large global community with over 90 nationalities.
  • Open communication and regular feedback, reflecting the company's focus on clear, honest communication.
  • Hybrid work with flexible hours, requiring team members to come into the office twice a week.
  • Virtual Shares to foster an ownership mindset in every role.
  • Regular in-person team events, including local and business unit gatherings, new-joiner onboardings, and company-wide events.
  • Monthly full-day hacking sessions on Hack Fridays to work on passion projects and collaborate with other teams.
  • 30 days of annual leave plus access to mental health resources.
  • Competitive benefits package tailored to global team locations.
