Responsibilities
- Manage the entire camera system lifecycle from sensor choice to image processing and multi-camera setup.
- Oversee component selection and performance comparison for image sensors, lenses, and suppliers with backup options.
- Guide optical design aspects like field of view, lens arrangement, anti-reflective coatings, and hyperfocal adjustments.
- Define electrical and mechanical requirements for cameras and collaborate with engineering and design leads.
- Assess combined field coverage, blind areas, and overlaps, and establish calibration for panoramic and computer vision applications.
- Establish image quality standards and testing methods for exposure, white balance, low-light performance, and motion.
- Work with reliability lead on durability of image sensors, lenses, coatings, and optical components.
- Ensure product launch by year-end and contribute to building and expanding the camera team.
