Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing cloud and data platform setups to uncover risks, shortcomings, and areas for improvement
- Create scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, and cost-effective GCP architectures for enterprise use
- Develop cloud strategies, target-state designs, and migration plans for ODE workloads
- Set up cloud landing zones, VPC configurations, network layouts, and identity frameworks
- Design and manage GCP infrastructure using services including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Dataplex, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI
- Build and oversee data platforms, data lakes, and analytics system architectures
- Implement Infrastructure as Code via Terraform for consistent, compliant deployments
- Establish guidelines for CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies
- Design and enforce cloud security frameworks covering IAM, VPCs, firewalls, VPNs, and Cloud KMS
- Ensure adherence to GDPR and corporate security policies
- Apply data protection techniques such as data classification, pseudonymization, and anonymization
- Define governance models for cloud resource management, cost control, and access permissions
- Maintain stability, availability, and performance of the ODE_S environment
- Develop monitoring, logging, and observability systems using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Prometheus
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues
- Mitigate risks to availability and prevent operational constraints
- Lead global, multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and data specialists
- Convert business and technical needs into clear architectural blueprints and specifications
- Assist in presales activities, solution design, and strategic planning
- Coach junior architects and engineers; promote architectural best practices and standards
- Document architectural decisions, patterns, and technical implementations comprehensively
