Responsibilities
- Establish and implement a two-year research strategy covering deterministic planning, self-correcting automation systems, retrieval-enhanced workflow modeling, and frameworks for evaluating autonomous agents.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a team of over 10 applied researchers and research interns, promoting high technical standards, strong publication output, and contributions to open science.
- Initiate and advance forward-looking research programs while ensuring alignment between novel AI innovations and deployable enterprise-grade solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to transition prototypes into production within six months of initial proof-of-concept validation.
- Interact directly with key customers to test hypotheses and transform validated insights into scalable architectural blueprints.
- Develop a 24-month research agenda emphasizing automated agent construction and tuning, goal-driven agent architectures, synthetic data generation, post-training automation, reinforcement learning, evaluation methodologies, and model efficiency.
- Recruit, guide, and motivate a team of 10 or more applied researchers and interns, cultivating a culture committed to publishable-quality research and scientific transparency.
- Produce and publish peer-reviewed research papers and obtain patents that establish technical differentiation in enterprise AI applications.
- Work alongside Product and Engineering to ensure rapid production deployment of research prototypes within half a year of concept demonstration.
- Engage strategic customers to assess research validity and translate findings into reusable reference designs.
