Responsibilities
- Ensure daily laundry operations run efficiently within the housekeeping division
- Work closely with housekeeping and support staff to maintain consistent service standards
- Support the overall effectiveness and productivity of the housekeeping team
- Sort, count, and document all types of linen including bed sheets, robes, fitness equipment, and guest or employee laundry for external processing
- Categorize, separate, and prepare white towels for washing, drying, and folding
- Operate laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and folding equipment to process linens
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of linens, towels, and cleaning chemicals
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and report defects promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and schedule equipment maintenance as required
- Escalate any operational issues in the laundry process directly to the supervisor or manager
- Treat stained linens weekly and return them to active use when possible
- Assemble linen bundles for morning room attendants
- Assemble linen bundles for evening room attendants
- Prepare scented cold towels for distribution to guest-facing areas including front desk, gym, pool, beach, and butler services
- Conduct quarterly linen inventory audits and submit reports to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper
