We are seeking a Full Stack developer to play a key role in building robust web applications at kaisen. This is a fully remote, full-time hourly position where you will serve as the primary web developer and subject matter expert on agile teams, working on projects ranging from startup apps to enterprise systems for large corporations.
What You'll Do
- Critically evaluate a project's business drivers and provide technical insight to all app features during discovery
- Produce technical documentation and specifications for all user stories selected for development
- Estimate the approximate level of effort required for the implementation of development-ready user stories and test/acceptance criteria
- Select technologies and platforms that can help us and our clients' applications and websites function reliably and scale
- Design web architecture
- Configure and manage environments and deployment workflows
- Plan and develop APIs
- Develop, test, and maintain integrations with open and private 3rd party APIs
- Perform back-end app and website development, including using various PHP-based app development platforms
- Execute pixel-perfect front-end web development, including current best-practices for responsive implementation, browser support, and web app development frameworks
- Set and continuously meet or exceed expectations for delivery of quality, tested code sprint after sprint
What We're Looking For
- Expertise in PHP, including the Laravel frameworks
- Extensive experience with AWS-based app architecture or similar tools
- Pixel-perfect front-end design implementation and development
- Well-versed in the agile methodology
- Experience with continuous integration
- Proven expertise in all stages of software development
