Responsibilities
- Prepares and ships bottle kits and sample coolers to the laboratory as required.
- Uses the LIMS system (TALs) to process bottle orders from project managers and assemble kits accordingly.
- Communicates professionally with project managers and clients.
- Keeps coworkers informed about the status of orders.
- Replenishes supplies promptly upon receipt to ensure availability.
- Confirms the accuracy and completeness of bottle orders before dispatch.
- Keeps the shipping and receiving area organized and safe.
- Follows standard operating procedures for courier duties.
- Collects and delivers samples and bottle orders when necessary.
- Counts incoming samples to verify alignment with Chain of Custody records.
- Checks samples for physical damage or breakage upon receipt.
- Receives and signs Chain of Custody forms.
- Ensures clients properly sign, date, and timestamp Chain of Custody forms when releasing samples.
- Transports temperature-sensitive samples on ice between client locations and service centers or external labs.
- Unloads samples and inspects for damage or expired hold times to preserve integrity.
- Uses directions or maps to find client sites as listed on courier request forms.
- Logs arrival and departure times for all pick-ups and deliveries in the courier log.
- Maintains vehicle maintenance and mileage records, submitting them monthly.
- Adheres to Section 14 of the Corporate Safety Manual regarding transportation and fleet safety.
- Complies with company driver qualification standards.
- Keeps the delivery vehicle in good working condition.
- Performs additional sample control tasks as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

- Responsible for tracking vehicle maintenance and mileage.
- May involve travel to client locations.

- Must log courier arrival and departure times.
- Must confirm samples are undamaged and within hold time limits.
