Responsibilities
- Supports and aligns with the organization's core values and mission
- Maintains consistent and timely attendance
- Follows applicable Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Laboratory Practice guidelines in all assigned tasks
- Engages in standard laboratory procedures to build familiarity with techniques, protocols, and workflows
- Prepares specimens using established laboratory methods
- Executes chemical testing using conventional laboratory techniques
- Processes and computes analytical results accurately
- Documents and communicates test data, along with any anomalies, to supervisory staff
- Completes regular maintenance on laboratory instruments
- Ensures all tasks meet environmental, health, safety, and quality assurance requirements
- Keeps assigned workspace clean and organized
- Trains to achieve proficiency with advanced analytical systems such as gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and associated data software
- Operates under direct supervision using predefined and standardized testing methods
- Measures and divides samples through aliquoting and weighing procedures
- Cleans and prepares laboratory glassware
- Executes all tasks with attention to safety and operational efficiency
- Completes additional assignments as directed by management
