Responsibilities
- Supports and upholds the organization's core values and mission
- Maintains consistent attendance and adheres to scheduled work hours
- Follows applicable Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Laboratory Practice guidelines across all assigned duties
- Completes standard laboratory procedures to build familiarity with analytical methods and protocols
- Prepares specimens using established laboratory techniques
- Executes chemical testing using validated procedures
- Processes and computes laboratory data accurately
- Documents and communicates results and any anomalous findings to supervisory staff
- Performs regular maintenance on laboratory instruments
- Ensures all tasks meet environmental, health, safety, and quality assurance requirements
- Keeps assigned workspace clean and organized
- Achieves proficiency in operating advanced analytical instruments such as gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, inductively coupled plasma, and associated data software
- Operates under direct supervision using predefined and standardized procedures
- Measures and divides samples into smaller portions as required
- Cleans and sterilizes laboratory glassware
- Conducts all laboratory activities with attention to safety and efficiency
- Takes on additional responsibilities as directed by management
