Responsibilities
- Supports and upholds the organizational mission and values
- Maintains consistent and timely attendance
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Laboratory Practice standards as applicable
- Executes standard laboratory procedures to build familiarity with techniques and protocols
- Prepares samples using established methods
- Conducts chemical testing using routine analytical techniques
- Performs calculations on collected data
- Documents and communicates results and any anomalies to supervisory staff
- Completes regular maintenance tasks on laboratory instruments
- Ensures all work adheres to environmental, health, safety, and quality standards
- Maintains cleanliness and order in the laboratory workspace
- Achieves proficiency in operating advanced analytical equipment such as gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and associated data systems
- Works under direct supervision using standardized procedures
- Measures and divides samples accurately
- Cleans and prepares laboratory glassware
- Executes all tasks with attention to safety and efficiency
- Completes additional tasks as directed by supervisors
