Bugcrowd was looking for a Junior Technical Pentest Manager

Bugcrowd is looking for a Junior Technical Pentest Manager to join our team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers running Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) on our platform. You will manage multiple penetration testing engagements end-to-end, scope tests across various domains, and effectively communicate complex offensive security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and advocating on their behalf.
  • Manage multiple penetration testing engagements end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Accurately scope penetration tests across various domains including network, web applications, mobile, and APIs.
  • Generate client deliverable reports and update any special requests.
  • Work closely with sales, technical sales, pen testers, crowd members, and the Hacker Success team.
  • Effectively communicate complex offensive security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Engage with hackers from around the world, facilitating clear communication across time zones.
  • Operate efficiently under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities and context switching.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues during engagements using analytical and critical thinking.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest trends in offensive security and improve processes.
  • Work with little to no supervision, taking initiative and ownership.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, open-mindedness, and adaptability.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years experience in penetration testing or offensive security roles.
  • 1+ years experience in engagement or project management within a consulting or delivery-based business.
  • Broad understanding of multiple penetration testing methodologies (IoT, LLM, cryptography, network, web, mobile, APIs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for various audiences.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse, global community of hackers.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a proactive approach to solving complex problems.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.
  • High levels of enthusiasm and a genuine passion for cybersecurity and offensive security.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth, staying current with industry developments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with PTaaS platforms and working with a global community of security researchers.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with sales, technical sales, pen testers, crowd members, and the Hacker Success team.

Work Mode

This is a remote position based in India.
