Responsibilities
- Analyze project outputs to establish and validate process needs
- Produce process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation drawings, and equipment arrangements
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to verify design criteria
- Design and oversee brewing and distillation operations to meet product specifications while prioritizing safety and efficiency
- Ensure all processes adhere to relevant safety and quality regulations
- Conduct process modeling and resolve design or operational challenges
- Develop specifications for piping, insulation, instrumentation, and equipment
- Prepare procurement and quotation request documents as necessary
- Generate, check, and confirm material take-offs
- Coordinate with suppliers of equipment, instrumentation, and installation services on design, specs, and delivery timelines
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and execution plans
- Suggest design enhancements, apply approved modifications, and carry out quality checks
- Track project advancement and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Conduct risk analyses such as FMEA, HAZOP, hazardous area classification, and layers of protection assessment
- Draft functional design documents and standard operating instructions
- Assist with on-site commissioning tasks including mechanical verification, punch list management, cold and hot testing, performance validation, and project handover
