AECOM is hiring a Junior Highway and Bridge Inspector

Responsibilities

  • Support quality assurance testing for grading, granular materials, concrete, asphalt, electrical systems, and other construction activities in accordance with the MTO Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to design plans, standards, and specifications before approving completed work and progress payments.
  • Comply with the requirements outlined in the MTO's Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual.
  • Recognize and record construction or quality control issues based on contract and standard specifications.
  • Address everyday technical and administrative issues independently, escalating complex matters to senior inspectors or the contract administrator when needed.
  • Communicate with client personnel, contractor staff, property owners, and community members during construction to help resolve issues.
  • Support field office personnel with administrative tasks related to project management and documentation.
  • Keep detailed inspector diaries that log contractor activities, project advancement, and key inspection milestones.

Remote — Mississauga, Markham, Barrie, Hamilton, North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie
