Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Java Developer for a fully remote position within the United States. You will join an automation-focused team working on complex integration projects, playing a key role in connecting internal tools to automate business workflows and enhance process efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain Java-based automation solutions that integrate multiple internal systems.
- Collaborate closely with team leads to understand requirements and proactively execute tasks.
- Design, implement, and test APIs to ensure seamless data transfer between tools like intake forms and configuration systems.
- Utilize SQL Server and API testing tools such as Postman to verify and troubleshoot workflows.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by independently overcoming technical challenges.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the automation team to enhance process efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Java Developer or JavaScript Developer with solid backend development skills.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and experience writing and optimizing queries.
- Hands-on experience working with APIs and API testing tools, including Postman.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of tasks from requirement gathering to delivery.
- Comfortable working remotely while adhering to Eastern or Central Time Zone working hours.
