Requirements
- Extensive experience in full lifecycle development of J2EE applications, including specification, construction, and deployment on application servers and web services
- Proven expertise in XML and JAXP technologies
- Solid background in systems analysis using methodologies such as Rational Unified Process, domain modeling, use cases, and data patterns
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle, with demonstrated ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and follow database programming best practices
- Strong design capabilities covering infrastructure planning, feature definition, component architecture, object-oriented design with UML, user interface layout, and API development for integrating commercial off-the-shelf software
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, EJB, J2EE, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, XSLT, Perl, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience across UNIX, Linux, and Windows NT operating environments
- Familiarity with development and modeling tools such as Eclipse, Rational Rose, Visio, Toad, and SVN
- Ability to quickly grasp business domain concepts and apply them in technical solutions
- Effective verbal communication skills and strong written abilities, especially in producing system and application documentation
- Collaborative team orientation with willingness to engage both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with UMLS, medical terminology, or pharmaceutical data is advantageous
