Responsibilities

Develop clean, maintainable Java code following industry best practices and participate in code reviews to maintain quality and resolve issues in existing software.
Integrate third-party APIs and perform unit and integration testing to ensure reliability; implement business and infrastructure logic for the ELK stack.
Build RESTful services for effective system communication, ensure data consistency and integrity during integration, and troubleshoot integration problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and develop strategies for integrating the ELK stack with various data sources.
Address complex challenges such as performance or concurrency issues and propose solutions.
Use AI tools as a regular part of daily work to enhance productivity, accelerate problem-solving, and deliver high-quality results with sound engineering judgment.
Own operational investigations from start to finish until performance or stability issues are resolved.
Support support engineers with more difficult problems.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience with Java programming.
Knowledge of system design and architecture.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful services.
Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Experience with operational investigations, resolving stability issues, and troubleshooting performance and concurrency problems.
Willingness to explore new issues and ask for help when needed.
Basic knowledge of any relational database, preferably Postgres.
Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code while owning final outcomes.
Ability to collaborate across functions and teams and transition between different projects, codebases, or teams based on business priorities.
Ability to work autonomously, drive decisions, and achieve results in a distributed team using asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication.

Compensation

Base salary only; no variable compensation component. Position in salary range based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. Eligible for stock program participation.
