Citi is hiring a Java Developer for Trading to join our Equity Finance Technology team in New York. In this software engineer role, you will work on the Trading application, collaborating with technologists across geographies and directly with traders to deliver business solutions through Agile methodologies.

What You'll Do

Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business processes, systems, and industry standards.
Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design adheres to architectural blueprints.
Utilize advanced system flow knowledge to set standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business architecture and infrastructure integrate.
Conduct in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and create innovative solutions.
Serve as an adviser or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi's reputation and assets.

What We're Looking For

6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis.
Extensive experience in system analysis and programming software applications.
Proven track record of managing and implementing successful projects.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances change.
Technical skills in Java, Kafka, SQL, Git.
Experience performing QA.
Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Flexibility to work with a global team across geographies and time zones.
Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder management ability.

Nice to Have

Experience with React and full-stack development.
Knowledge of Prime Services.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
