Capgemini is looking for a Java Developer to join our team in a role that blends backend development with DevOps responsibilities. You will be responsible for building and integrating APIs, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our distributed systems.
What You'll Do
- Build and integrate APIs, including SOAP and REST services
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins
- Conduct automated unit, functional, end-to-end, and performance testing
- Utilize observability tooling such as SonarQube, Datadog, and Splunk
- Implement security protocols including Authentication SSO, OAuth, OIDC, and SAML
- Perform strong troubleshooting across distributed systems
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 7 years of Java backend development experience
- Strong experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, and Micronaut
- Experience building REST APIs, including exception handling and API design
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like JUnit and JMeter
- Understanding of Authentication SSO, OAuth, OIDC, and SAML token handling
- OS Linux/Unix and shell scripting skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems
Nice to Have
- Python scripting skills
- Working knowledge of React or Angular for end-to-end validation
