Xebia sp. z o.o. is looking for a Java Developer | EU to design, develop, and maintain production-grade backend software. You’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end features from requirements analysis through to deployment and maintenance.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain production-grade backend software in Java.
Deliver end-to-end features: from requirements analysis and design, through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Work closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency.
Continuously improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability of the system.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of commercial experience in software development as a backend engineer.
Solid experience with Java (7+) and Spring Boot, including building REST APIs and WebSockets.
Understanding of software design principles, clean code, and basic design patterns.
Experience writing unit and integration tests and working with testing best practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or similar).
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and DevOps principles.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to learn and grow.
English at B2 level or higher (spoken and written).
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Candidates must have an active VAT status in the EU VIES registry.
