Responsibilities
- Perform translation of in-game text, user interface elements, legal content, and supplementary materials according to client specifications, official terminology, and defined stylistic standards.
- Conduct editing and proofreading of translated content to guarantee linguistic precision, uniformity, and natural readability.
- Engage in creative localization, including the creation and maintenance of glossaries, style guides, and character descriptions within defined ownership structures.
- Deliver work on schedule and meet productivity benchmarks without compromising quality within a structured localization workflow.
- Maintain consistent tone, voice, and terminology across all game texts and components.
- Collaborate with other translators to review translations for coherence and logical progression.
- Detect and resolve localization problems, including feedback from reviews and bugs identified during testing phases.
- Utilize translation and project management platforms such as memoQ, JIRA, and client-specific tools to monitor progress and ensure workflow transparency.
- Log, track, and respond to localization queries following established team procedures.
- Support the onboarding of new linguists by offering guidance on language-specific tools and project expectations.
- Participate in evaluating candidate test submissions and help update testing materials when necessary.
- Work directly with clients on daily language-related matters, maintaining regular communication to ensure content alignment.
- Adapt quickly to shifting project demands and changing priorities.
