About the Role
This role is responsible for managing end-to-end vendor lifecycle processes within the IT function, focusing on risk mitigation, contract oversight, performance evaluation, and integration of vendor solutions into existing technology frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle management of IT vendors, from onboarding to offboarding
- Develop and enforce vendor governance policies and compliance standards
- Coordinate cross-functional assessments for new vendor engagements
- Monitor vendor performance using defined KPIs and service level agreements
- Maintain centralized documentation for contracts, certifications, and audits
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with third-party technology providers
- Collaborate with procurement to negotiate terms and renewals
- Ensure alignment between vendor deliverables and internal IT objectives
- Drive continuous improvement in vendor management processes
- Facilitate regular business reviews with key suppliers
- Support security and compliance teams in vendor risk assessments
- Standardize onboarding workflows for IT service providers
- Track vendor-related expenditures and cost-saving opportunities
- Evaluate emerging vendors for potential integration into IT ecosystems
- Manage escalation paths for unresolved vendor issues
- Ensure data privacy and regulatory requirements are met by vendors
- Maintain a vendor master list with service classifications
- Implement tools and systems to automate vendor tracking
- Provide reporting on vendor performance to senior leadership
- Promote accountability and transparency across vendor partnerships
- Align vendor strategies with enterprise technology roadmaps
- Assist in due diligence for vendor acquisitions or consolidations
- Train internal stakeholders on vendor policies and procedures
- Ensure business continuity planning includes third-party dependencies
- Foster strong communication channels between IT and external providers
