Responsibilities
- Responds to incoming support requests via phone, email, voicemail, and in-person interactions from users facing issues with computers, software, or network systems.
- Sets up and configures network hardware and related services.
- Establishes and oversees fundamental network functions, including hardware setup, and supports the Service Desk Administrator.
- Conducts network diagnostics to identify and resolve typical connectivity issues.
- Implements system updates and configures network printing, directory setups, permissions, security settings, and file services.
- Manages user account creation and maintenance in Active Directory, Terminal Server, and CCH Document systems.
- Collaborates with the System Administrator or Service Desk Coordinator on hardware concerns and investigates solutions for technical problems.
- Supports the System Administrator with data backup procedures.
- Tracks and responds to service tickets by monitoring the internal IT department’s ticketing system.
Other
Work-from-home setup must include a minimum internet speed of 50-100 Mbps, a dedicated private workspace free from distractions, and reliable power and internet backup as part of business continuity planning.
